After I did a big update on my computer the drivers for my tablet got messed up, which I managed to fix, so I need to test my scanner to see if it’s drivers where messed up, luckily they weren’t
Any ways, this is a ghost girl I did a quick doodle of a few days ago so I redrew her today. I was feeling really inspired by like “Panty and Stocking” for some reason. I saw some sketches from the show where it showed how the thick line on the character was drawn out in pencil and I thought that looked cool, I also saw some image of Panty in sort of mid transformation from the simple style to the more complex anime style and her eyes looked cool so i used that as an inspiration for the ghost girls eyes.
Looking at this I sort of wish i had inked this instead of just going over it with a darker pencil but oh well there is always next time
So the last thing I needed to get up and running was my scanner. I managed to get it to work but the program for scanning sucks, so it will take me some time before I get used to it, but this scanned ok for a first try
For some reason I found my self thinking about those cute Mini Mario toys from the “Mario and Donkey Kong” games, and I needed an idea to draw to test out GIMP on my new computer, I ended up going back to an older version of GIMP, so I drew Lara as one of those cute toys. I want this to be real, it would be awesome to have a Lara toy like this on my desk.
Just a quick doodle of Julie in Open Canvas 1.1 to start getting used to drawing on my new computer, it turned out ok but I still need to get used to this new set up
I wanted to practices 2 point perspective but I didn’t want to do some thing as simple as boxes but nothing as complex as a building, so I took a sprite of MegaMan and gave it perspective.
With the exception of color I did this all on paper, which is why it doesn’t look super slick and perfect. A few spots could use a little work, and I don’t really know how to accurately space the horizontal lines so that they logically get closer together as they go further back but it turned out pretty good
I haven’t drawn Susan in awhile so i busted out the mechanical pencil and my Micron pens and drew this up real quick and added shading in GIMP. I really wanted to do some thing cute with her and I wanted to work on drawing her muscles, so that’s where the playful ab showing idea came from.
I wish her arms came out better but that’s just some thing to work on for the future. I looked to other artist and some anatomy pics online to get the muscles to look right, think all and all came out pretty good
Chibi Korra is bending all four elements
I wanted to do a pic for some thing Nickelodeon is doing for comic con and its due tomorrow so I had to crank this out real fast. I think it turned out pretty good for being semi-rushed
Artist name: Robert Case (28)
I was feeling inspired to take another crack at drawing an older version of Lara after i saw a pic of Daisy by robaato that looked allot like what I had in mind for Lara. I think she looks older here with out looking to different from her usual look, she looks odd to me only because I’m not used to her having taller and more shapely proportions XP
I’ve been talking with a friend allot about Zelda stuff, due to “Hyrule Warriors,” and while I was looking at some Zelda art work I saw a pic of her in like casual clothes in LTTP so I did a quick sketch of her while I was waiting to hear back on some stuff.
I was inspired like almost a week ago to do a family pic of some farmers, and I think of the dad as like an ex-swordsman who after he retired went into farming and started a family.
The original idea was to have the dad way more caricatured but I need to work up to drawing characters with more exaggerated facial structure.
